What is parasitic load?
derived
It is the plant's own energy consumption - heating, mixing, pumping, upgrading and compression - which reduces net saleable output and shows up directly in operating cost. The upgrading technology chosen sets much of it: amine's thermal demand and cryogenic power draw are very different propositions from a membrane skid.
