How often are upgrading membranes or scrubbing media replaced?

It depends on inlet-gas cleanliness. Iron sponge and activated carbon saturate and are replaced on breakthrough; membranes degrade with age, temperature excursions and pressure swings. Ask an operating plant about actual replacement intervals rather than trusting commissioning-day figures.
