When is activated carbon used for H2S?
sourced
Activated carbon adsorbs hydrogen sulphide - often iron-impregnated for higher capacity - and is valued for simplicity and very low residual levels, usually as a polishing step after bulk removal. Like an iron sponge it saturates, so it needs periodic replacement or regeneration.
