What is biological desulphurisation and air dosing?
sourced
Sulfur-oxidising bacteria convert H2S to elemental sulfur or sulfate, either by dosing a small amount of air into the digester headspace or in a separate biotrickling filter - commercial trickling filters report over 94% removal on average. Air dosing must be tightly controlled: too much dilutes the methane and can create an explosive mixture.
