What is ensiling, and how is feedstock stored?
sourced
Ensiling stores wet biomass such as Napier or straw under anaerobic, acidic conditions so it keeps its digestibility between harvests. Baling and covered storage protect dry residues from rain and rot. Both are how a seasonal crop becomes a year-round feed.
